Each time a tool's location changes, OnTakt creates a record that includes the new location information.

OnTakt considers a tool to have changed location when any of the following occur:

  • Tool moves into an assembly (or between assemblies)
  • Tool assembly's location number changes
  • Tool assembly moves into a process (or between processes)

Reporting

The tool location history report shows the list of tools that have been used at a specific location number on a specific machine within a selected period of time.

Each record shows:

  • The timestamp of when the tool was put into that location
  • The name of the tool
  • The name of the tool's assembly
  • The name of the active process that linked the tool assembly to the machine

This is mostly useful for seeing which specific durable tools have been installed in a particular location over time.
