DTect-IT is capable of utilizing I/O devices to interact with analyses. DTect-IT can utilize inputs to activate features of analyses, and it can turn on outputs on the device to alert the user of analysis events, such as alarms. The following I/O devices are compatible with DTect-IT: l ONTRAK ADU208 I/O device

ONTRAK ADU208

DTect-IT communicates with the ONTRAK ADU208 I/O device via USB-B connection. The ONTRAK ADU208 I/O device is bus powered and provides DTectIT with PLC functions. The device has the following inputs and outputs available for configuration in DTect-IT:

  • Inputs: PA0 - PA3 and PB0 - PB3
  • Outputs: K0 - K7

The device has the following specifications:

  • Outputs: 8 N.O relay contact outputs rated 5.0A @ 120VAC, 5.0A @ 30VDC
  • Inputs: 8 Digital inputs suitable for Contact or TTL input, Accept up to 28VDC

ONTRAK ADU209 Device Wizard

The I/O device wizard eases the set up of the ONTRAK ADU208 I/O device by guiding the user through the settings step by step. To set up a new I/O device, press the Create button from the Physical I/O settings ribbon and select ONTRAK. Perform the following steps to add the device:

  1. Ensure the device is configured and connected to a USB drive on the PC that DTect-IT is installed on.
  2. Press Begin
  3. Select the correct connected I/O device from the drop down menu
  4. Name the device
  5. Press Finish

After completing the wizard, the I/O device is ready to be utilized by analyses.

ONTRAK ADU209 Settings Menu

In the ONTRAK ADU208 settings menu, the following device information is displayed:

  • Device ID
  • Serial Number
  • Product ID
  • Vendor ID

In addition to the device data, a drop down menu displays all connected I/O devices. This feature allows the user to switch hardware for the I/O device without reconfiguring all of the analyses that used the old hardware. Pressing the Refresh button refreshes the list of connected hardware to display hardware after DTect-IT is launched.
