Creating new customers

Customers are necessary to associate Ontakt instances with, and from there, license keys can be generated. To create a new customer, you must have login credentials. Reach out to Andy for support.

MAKE SURE TO VERIFY THAT THE CUSTOMER IS NOT ALREADY IN THE REGISTRY.

1. Go to local.wolframmfg.com
2. Go to the Ontakt Central Tab, and log in
3. At the top, click the "Customers" tab
4. At the bottom of the page, press "+ New Customer"
5. Fill out all the necessary information regarding the customer
6. Confirm that the customer was created

Creating new Ontakt Instances for customers

Instances are needed to generate license keys.

1. In Ontakt Central, select the "Instances" tab at the top of the screen
2. To create a new instance for a customer, scroll to the bottom of the page and click "+ New instance"
3. Fill out the Instance Details, associate the instance with the customer
4. Click "Save"
5. Confirm the instance was created

Generating a new license for Ontakt Instances

A license needs to be created and applied to an Ontakt system

1. In Ontakt Central, under the instance tab, select the "License expires" option for the instance you want to generate a license to
2. Confirm the expiration date based off PO (Ontakt Central defaults 1 year expiration date)
3. Click "Generate License Key"
4. Save the license key in the respective sales/customer folder on Google Drive
5. Follow the steps 2-6 listed here in "First-time setup"
