Update instructions
All updates are installed from the Settings page of the launcher:
Updating the system
In the System information section, click the Update system button (on older versions of WolframOS it just says Update) to update WolframOS:
This update process can take anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour, depending on the packages that need to be updated.
If the update fails with an error, try clicking the update button again.
Updating installed applications
In the Applications section, click the Update button for the application you wish to update:
It usually takes around 5 minutes to install an application update.
It is not necessary to click Check for updates before updating; it will automatically download the latest version.
Offline updates
Requires OnTakt Daemon version 1.0.0 or newer.
Offline updates can be performed by placing offline update packages on a USB flash drive and plugging it into the server PC then following the instructions depending on the type of update to install:
System/Daemon
Daemon updates are distributed as .odup
(Offline Daemon Update Package) files, which are around 6 MB in size. Contact Wolfram Manufacturing to obtain an update file if you believe one is necessary.
To update the daemon or install other system packages, click "Update from media" in the "System information" section. Select the USB drive and file from the list and then click Install.
Applications
Application updates are distributed as .oappup
(Offline APPlication Update Package) files, which are around 800 MB in size and contain updated versions of all services that make up a single application. Contact Wolfram Manufacturing to obtain an update file if you believe one is necessary.
To update applications with an offline update package, click "Load update from media" in the "Application management" section. For each update file, select the USB drive and file from the list and then click Install. Once an application update has been installed, click Restart under that application to apply the update.
